Mission

Sony, a titan in the electronics market, specifically in its Bravia TV line, sought to captivate potential customers with an unparalleled display of visual technology. The objective was clear: create an in-store video that not only highlights the superior image quality of the new Bravia TVs but also captures the imagination of viewers through stunning visual storytelling.

The Call

With the upcoming release of their new line of Bravia TVs, Sony needed a demonstration video that would do justice to the advanced display technology. They turned to us because of our reputation for delivering high-end 3D animations and managing large-scale projects. Sony's urgency was matched by their confidence in our ability to bring their vision to life.

Process

Our task was focused on the character animation of two futuristic figures equipped with jet packs, soaring through beautifully crafted landscapes. This segment was pivotal in demonstrating the dynamic range and color fidelity of Bravia TVs. Working alongside The Mill in Los Angeles, our team handled the intricate 3D character rigging and animation in Cinema 4D, ensuring every motion was fluid and lifelike. The collaboration was seamless, with The Mill integrating our animations into live-action footage and other 3D modeled environments.

Outcome

The result was a mesmerizing 60-second animation, now looping on the Bravia displays in stores nationwide. Our realistic character animations and photorealistic rendering showcased the TVs' capabilities in displaying crisp, vibrant visuals. This demo video was not just a technical showcase but also a piece of art, enticing viewers with the possibilities of Sony's technology.
